The concept of partial loads, or LTL (less-than-truck-load), describes consolidated freight transportation where an individual load fills only a portion of a semi-trailer. In this way, the transportation of various loads in one vehicle is efficiently combined. The minimum volume of cargo is not limited, and the maximum volume of individual cargo is at least slightly smaller than a full semi-trailer.
The main advantage is cost-effectiveness — you only pay for the space occupied by your cargo, and not for the entire space for transportation by the chosen transport. It’s convenient, because you can only bring the right amount of goods at that time, you don’t need to store the goods at your place.
